FCCI Insurance Group appoints new president and CEO

The FCCI Insurance Group (FCCI) has today announced the appointment of Christina ‘Cina’ Welch (pictured) as president & CEO.

Welch takes the helm after a 22-year tenure with the commercial property and casualty insurance provider. She joined FCCI in 1998 as an attorney in the legal department and has since held various roles, including her most recent position of executive vice president, general counsel, and chief audit & compliance officer, which she took on in 2018.

Jack Cox, FCCI’s chairman of the board, said the board is “delighted” to welcome Welch to her new role. He added: “We were fortunate to have a number of exceptional internal candidates. We feel confident in our decision and look forward to what Cina’s leadership will bring to FCCI in the coming years.”

In her time with FCCI, Welch has spearheaded a number of significant initiatives, including the creation FCCI’s Data Security Incident Response and Information Security programs and the development of a robust Enterprise Risk Management program. She also managed FCCI’s Business Continuity Management program – including the corporate COVID-19 response – and has been key in the company’s geographic expansion efforts.

Commenting on her appointment, Welch stressed FCCI’s commitment to the success of its agency partners as well as its dedication to exceptional customer service that distinguishes FCCI in the insurance industry.

“I am well aware that FCCI’s marketplace success is dependent on the success of our independent agencies and policyholders.
